The 1068 Andres 12 was the first to break through the soil and that in only 3 days. The second one took 4 days.

The 1634 Werner 10 took 5 days.

Both 1088 Zirkelbach 10 have broken through the soil and 2 of the 77.5 Andres 12 Pelota Gourd have also.

I have decided to start some backup seeds. All seeds that germinate will be planted, either at my house, in Michels field or the Landstuhl Gaertnerie.

Since the first seeds germinated I have not had any luck, not sure why.

So, I am starting backups to my backups.

I will use 2 x 650 olsen 10 and 1068 Andres 12 as backups.

Today I wanted to get the GH's ready but I had one problem, it has been raining since I woke up and has not stopped all day.

Sven, I saw your 1088 and Norberts 1068, they were made to cross them.

Finally got the GH ready and my main plants in the ground.

Now we wait for the ice hollies and see how cold it is going to get.

This is what it looks like right now. In the picture you can see our new dog Charlie, he is 6 months old. Luke passed away on 23 December 2012.

By the way, we got Charlie from a Saarlander, his name fits.

So, it appears that South West Germany is under a rain that equals Biblical times.

I hereby am calling my patch, "The Ark".

I will spare you the pictures, my Saarland friend Jan, has posted enough for you to get the idea.

I guess the time has come to see which one of us will survive this, my guess is that Norbert and Charly have just as bad a problem.

So, which one of us will survive this crap?

"The Ark" has survived the flooding only to be hit by light frost this morning.

The rain took 1 day off, but not to worry, it will start up again today and continue into next week.

If it wasn't for my greenhouses the season would be over already, I don't understand how I grew before without them.

anic My plants are not even close to my "Saar - Pfalz" brothers. I will be lucky if they are big enough to pollionate before July. :

Owen, the Saar Brothers have only one good plant at this time. The others are to polinate in July too. So we can compare these ones
