Sept 12
I could smell something funny and there was a liquid running out from underneath it. I took down the greenhouse and lifted the pumpkin up to take a closer look.

Underneath, a mouse had tunneled under the styrofoam and made a small nest between the styrofoam and the bottom of the pumpkin. I left it to hang and keep the weight off the bottom to try and dry it for a couple of days with a hair drier and baby powder. It continued to get worse over the next couple of days and I decided to take it out and get it weighed.

I cut it up tonight to save any seeds if possible.
It looked to me like there were tunnels from a mouse throughout the pumpkins walls. Hard to tell as it was rotted so badly. Maybe it was the stem split. It may have gone through and I never realised it. Here are the pictures.
The very bottom, thicker than I expected.
The stem.
The final resting place.
